Delete your CloseoutGate account

Delete it yourself, right now

1. Open CloseoutGate (the app or the website) and sign in.
2. Open the menu and choose Crew.
3. Scroll to Delete my account, type your email address to confirm, and tap the delete button.

Deleting your account removes your sign-in and takes your name and email off your company's job records. You are signed out everywhere. Proof you added stays in your company's job records, shown as Former crew member. Names your company typed into job fields, and copies it already exported or sent, are not changed. This cannot be undone. The deletion takes effect at once and you are signed out on every device. Anything not yet uploaded from your phone is thrown away when you delete your account or delete the app. Signing out keeps it on the phone.

What is deleted, and what is kept

• Deleted: your sign-in, your name and email address, your sign-in sessions, any pending sign-in codes or invitations for your address, your membership in every company, the text of any feedback you sent, and we remove Google Drive folder access CloseoutGate gave you through your company’s Drive connection. If your company has disconnected Drive, ask your company to remove it.
• Taken off the records: your name and email where you were shown as the person who added something, including on the stored files. They show as “Former crew member”.
• Kept by your company: proof you added stays in your company’s job records, shown as Former crew member. Names your company typed into job fields, and copies it already exported or sent, are not changed. This includes the locked close-out package we keep for your company and packages your company saved to its own Google Drive. Your company keeps this proof as its work record and controls it. To ask for it to be removed, contact your company or write to us and we will pass the request on.
• Company owners: if you are the only owner of a company, the app tells you so and asks you to confirm once more: deleting your account then also asks us to delete that company, with all its projects, proof and files, within 30 days. We send no further notice once the company is deleted; there is no owner left to send it to. To keep the company, make another person an owner first. If you connected a company’s Google Drive and the company is not being deleted, disconnect Drive (Integrations, Disconnect) or ask another owner to reconnect it first. The screen tells you this.
• Backup copies and database recovery points age out within 30 days.

Cannot sign in?

Email support@practicalbyteapps.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We reply to the account address to confirm it is you, and we delete the account once you confirm, within 30 days of your confirmation. We email you when it is done.
